When I called to see about getting my x-rays picked up (so I could go to another dentist) they told me it was going to be a charge of $25.I asked them why would I have to pay to pick up my OWN x-rays, I've already paid for them and they're mine!

They said that the originals have to stay there at the office and it's $25 to have a copy made of the x-rays. They're MINE!

I PAID for them already!I said, never mind, & this is exactly why I don't come to Monarch anymore: for *** like this!

Had an Experience with Monarch Dental?

Tom,

North Richland Hills office of Monarch is

scamming the patient and insurance providers.

Insurance pays for x-ray and cleaning twice

yearly. Go there and find they will not clean unless you agree to their add-ons. i.e. Unnecessary deep clean and anti biotics

for an additional charge from patient of over $250.00. This procedure never necessary at

any other dental facility visited every 6 months these past 15 years.

Big scam..Report to your insurance provider.

Monarch is a money pumper, they do not care about you, just your money. It is true you have to pay to get copies of your own records.

The dental community isn't regulated like other doctors are. This company is a disaster.

You both are incorrect...and have no clue what your talking about. X rays are yours to keep and take whereever you go.

Just FYI-when you go to a dentist, or physician, the fees you pay are for the service of having x-rays done and not for the "ownership" of them. Those x-rays and anything written in your chart is a part of your medical record (which is a legal document).

ANY dental or medical office that you go to ANYWHERE in the US has the right to charge you to have a copy of your records. Now, another doctor can request your records with your permission and there MAY not be a fee, but they still do not belong to you...that copy is now a part of the new doctor's records.

Well they actually did right because by the state of Texas they have to keep the originals in office!
