I went to the Monarch Dental at Casa Linda. The hygienist was so rude to me for no reason.

It seemed like she hated her job and was taking it out on patients. She was also really rough with her cleaning and made me bleed a lot, and then rudely said if I knew how to take care of my teeth I wouldn't be bleeding so much.

I have never in my life had a problem with bleeding gums until I went there and she kept stabbing me with instruments. I would never go back to any Monarch dental because of this experience.

I went to Monarch Dental - Casa Linda in Dallas, Tx.

I am a new patient. When I called to schedule my first treatment, I specifically asked the person on the phone whether I could get my initial consultation and first cleaning at the same time. She said that is usually what happens. She also told me to arrive 15 minutes early for my appointment.

I scheduled an 8 am appointment and arrived 15 minutes early. However, the office was not open so I just had to sit in my car. When the office did open, I went in and was given some more paper work to fill out. No one saw me for 30 minutes. This was exactly what I was trying to avoid by selecting the first appointment of the day. I expect dental professionals to be available to see me when they schedule me to come in. I was there on time, I want my dentist and hygienist to be on time. I understand if they have preparations they need to do for my care. However, if that is so, my appointment should be scheduled for when the dentist and hygienist are actually ready to see me.

Anyways, after waiting for 30 minutes the first thing that happened was I received X-rays. Then after getting X-rays, my teeth were probed. Then I waited another 30 minutes expecting to get my cleaning. Instead, I merely met with the dentist, received a treatment plan, and was told that I would need to schedule another appointment for my cleaning.

I had to schedule another appointment and come back in at 1pm. Thus, I spent from 8 am to 1 pm essentially waiting around for my first consultation and appointment. If I had originally been told that I could not have a consultation and appointment at the same time, I would have scheduled for another time. However, even if all of my care had been completed at the same appointment, the amount of time I was just waiting around doing nothing is unacceptable to me. Just like the dentist and hygienist, I am a professional. I make money when I'm seeing clients. Every hour I'm not seeing clients is an hour I have to make up. I don't want to be kept around waiting needlessly after my appointment is already supposed to have started. If I don't show up to my appointment, I will supposedly get charged a no-show fee. Well I feel like charging this dentist office my own no-show fee because they were not ready to perform my services at the scheduled appointment time.

I don't know whose fault it was, I suspect that the person who I originally spoke to on the phone was not aware that the dentist and hygienist would be to busy to see me. If they are too busy, they are too busy. I don't blame them for this. I just don't want to be scheduled for a time when the dentist and hygienist are too busy to see me.

If it isn't obvious, I was quite frustrated, not at anyone in particular but at the failure of this scheduling system. Although I believe the front desk staff, dentist, and hygienist were all professional and kind, I expect a higher level of punctuality in the future.

Although I agree that you were treated rudely and unprofessionally, the treatment HAD to have been some form of scaling. Either a gross scale or a full blown deep scale either of which requires scaling below the gum line which is why you felt she was stabbing you because the diseased tissue can be very sensetive.

The bleeding is also a result of the scaling and I would be willing to bet that if you were flossing properly you would see at least a lil pink as most people do. 80% of Americans have periodontal disease
